Elect Women editor betrayed a woman's right to choose, for personal gain
The editor of a website that claims to be an advocate of women's rights and electing Democratic women to office seems to be playing games.
Called "Elect Women," the site was created as a platform for a Kentucky gadfly by the name of Kathy Groob.
A little background, for starters: Groob, age 61, has been promoting herself as being in the forefront of women's issues. She has run for state office twice and lost both efforts. Her political life is run by her husband, who owns a consulting company in the small town of Covington KY. He also operates the Elect Women website.
At one time, Kathy Groob was a Republican. Switched parties to run for office after a tiff with the local GOP. Became a liberal Democrat and now claims to be a conservative Dem, or perhaps is back to being progressive. Nobody really knows for sure (with the exception of her husband who has "guided" her less than stellar career in politics).

At issue, a women's right to choose. Groob's flip-flops on the issue have been so amazing that she could qualify as a contestant in the next "World's Greatest Hypocrite" challenge.
A blogger caught her ridiculing her opponent for being pro-life.
Groob wrote, using the online username "Lemonysnip":
"(Jack) Westwood is one of the worst senators in the state and continues to do absolutely nothing except his crazy stuff about abortion. He even wears little baby feet on his lapel." [ Link ]
But as the election neared, Groob ditched her pro-choice stance and did a mailer to voters to proclaim that she, too, was pro-life (see copy of flyer above).
The progressive blogging community howled in disgust. [Link], [Link], [Link].
A top progressive blog in Kentucky wrote: "Kathy Groob has "lost all dignity by mailing out anti-choice lit(erature)." [Link]
Now, the no-principled politician has apparently gone back to being pro-choice. Groob recently penned an article on the website of national celebrity known for her hard work to preserve a women's rights to choose. As prolific as she has been on the internet, Groob has nevered offered her side of the story.
And one more thing. You can question Groob's dedication to electing women to office as well.
At issue is Groob's support of Hillary Clinton for president in 2008.
Apparently she was a supporter, but just for a short period of time.
A photo of Groob at an Obama campaign rally in her home city of Covington KY the spring of 2008 has popped-up.

Groob dumped her support of Hillary Clinton, the first female to have a real chance at being being elected President.
